What was the most striking part of "The Persuaders" for you? How did this part make you feel, and how does it change your perception of the media? (10 minutes)
I have watched a good amount of shows about advertisement so i was not very shocked about what I was hearing but was kind of more sad that this is what our society has turned into. everywhere you walk to see an advertisement of some sort and you don't even realize it because it has become so second nature to us. However, it was interesting to hear about how the advertising companies were panicked when TVO and online movies and shows became available to the public where they could just fast forward through their advertisements. They stated to actually incorporate the product and bran into the shows and movies that you watch that will catch or attention or subliminally have you like their product or have it become more appealing to you because it is on your favorite show. It is not even about the product anymore, it is about the feeling you get get when you see or use their product.
