Visual Analysis - American Gothic

Thesis Statement - The depiction of the American religion in the 1930’s is farming, where the man works and women are domestic.

American Gothic is a plain uninteresting depiction of a typical family in the 1930’s. Is there more mystery behind the picture?

    Your thesis statement needs to comment on what you think the artist's message is. It should answer the question "What is your interpretation of the meaning of this image?"
